This device is designed to operate the watch movement mechanism by the winding stem while monitoring the jump of the date disc. When the jump is detected within the programmed time, the movement is considered good. If the movement does not make a date jump, it will be considered out of tolerance and reported.
This device exists as a table top version but also in a module to be integrated into our Author conveying systems.
Advantages
- • No optical system which scans the date disc, no acoustic system which may present detection difficulties.
- • The jaws gently grasp the winding stem and apply a certain rotation to it. Simultaneously, a probe is applied to the date indicator disc to detect its movements. When the probe moves, indicating the date jump, the exact position of the clamp is memorized. The rotation of the clamp stops.
- • Depending on the program created by the user, the system can perform one or more additional rotations, in the same direction or in the opposite direction, allowing the movement to be put in a specific state, for example: on the date jump, with an additional rotation to resume the play of the cogs.
- • The system works with date discs that can rotate slowly, quickly or in several stages. Even date discs that spin very quickly are detectable with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 minutes.
